to mi nedoslo, ze v tom starym configu asi nebyla podpora pro reiserfs. uz se 2 hodiny kompiluje novy s podporou raiseru i wireless lan, tak snad nebude zadnej dalsi problem.
zatim si necham raisera, kdyby delal problemy, tak zkusim XFS, k line ext3 bych se uz nerad vracel.
zkopiloval jsem to jadro, rebootnul - stejna hlaska: kerne panic: blabla, ale pomohlo odstranit to read-only v lilo.confu a najelo.
jinak problemy se nevyresily, jak rikal fyzik, distrem to nebylo, porad iwconfig hlasi naprosty ptakoviny pri nastaveni zaporne hodnoty dBi. zkusim jeste stahnout vyvojove verze hostap a wireless tools a uvidime, jestli se nekam pohnu.

tak jsem se dneska vrhla na překlad jádra a zatím jsem u úpravy lilo.conf postupuji podle odkazu co sem dával fyzik. Je to tam dobře popsané, ale u tohto kroku si nejsem jistá :( V lilo.conf je toho spousta, podle návodu tam mám dopsat:

(už jsem si to lehce upravila) ale nevím, kam to napsat. Na začátek, na konec, mám tam něco smazat nebo...? Můj lilo.conf končí takhle:

Omlouvám se že toho píši tolik, ale dělám na tom od rána a nerada bych to zvrtala. Poradíte někdo?
pokud mas jadro s novymi wifi exts, preloz si wifi tools, ale tak, abys pouzil includy toho noveho jadra a abys pri make install premazal stare wifi tools .. jinak to muze delat popsane nesmysly
jeste k memu problemu> myslim, ze jsem stare wifi tools premazal, nasel jsem kde sou a v makefile jsem upravil ten prefix, jak jsi psal vcera. bud sem vazne hrozna lama, nebo mam na neco smulu, jeste si s tim pohraju pres vikend a zkusim pre version wifi tools, treba budu mit vetsi stesti.

Tu úpravu lilo.conf jsem dělala až po kompilaci. Jak poznám že už jede nové jádro? Po najetí se mi tam pod přihlášením napsalo :

zvolila jsi pri bootu v lilu spravne jadro?
zda se mi, ze v tvem lilo.confu nevidim nikde parametr timeout=xx, netusim jak se to chova bez toho ani nevim jestli takhle ten parametr je, nemam po ruce zadny linux. jinak to jadro muzes nastavit jakou defaultni zmenou parametru default=2.4.20, coz nedelej, pokud se ti nezobrazuje lilo pri bootu, kdyby byl nejaky problem s novym jadrem.
zkus tam pridat ten parametr treba timeout=50, dej to nekam na zacatek, treba pred vga=normal.
v čem jsem mohla udělat chybu?
v /boot mám podle návodu jak bzImage-2.4.20; config-2.4.20 tak System.map-2.4.20 a do lilo.conf jsem to nspsala přesně jak sem to napsala sem :(
Tak, právě jsem to zkusila a pořád nic :( Já jsem sem minule nedala všechno z lilo.conf, protože to bylo moc dlouhé. Zkusila jsem změnit pár věcí (co mě napadlo) ale výsledek je pořád stejný... takhle vypadá celý lilo.conf Co jsem tam zvrtala?
